Change Journey Immersive
How to bring people on board when you can’t command them
Does this sound familiar?
You have a mandate for change, but you don’t have power.
If you had both, you could dictate. People would show up and execute.
But you don’t. So instead:
-
People turn up to meetings, but don’t commit to action
-
You chase investment from functions that have other priorities
-
You spin the plates, work all hours, try diplomacy, persuasion, cajoling …
As soon as you stop, the plates crash down. And everyone knows that the failure is on you, it’s your project after all. So you either deliver something far weaker than intended, tick boxes until everyone moves on, or, worst case, leave in frustration.
Now imagine something different.
-
People leaning in. Somebody says, “That’s us.”
-
They start using the language themselves, taking it into their plans and priorities.
-
You’re still pushing, but now others are pushing with you.
At the Change Journey Immersive, you’ll learn how to design for it.
The Change Journey Immersive
22–23 January 2027
A two-day, hands-on programme where you learn how to get buy-in from your people through Collaborative Design. You’ll work with the Change Journey Map – a tool for scoping change across four dimensions (operational, cultural, psychological, political). You’ll apply it to a live challenge from your own organisation.
At the Immersive, you don’t learn from slides. You experience what change feels like: the discomfort, the trust-building, and the emergence of solutions through collaboration.
Then you’ll learn how to design it for others.
You’ll leave with
-
A 200-page Playbook with the full system and 32 facilitation exercises
-
A facilitation toolkit so you can lead the work from day one
-
A ‘making the case’ pack for your board presentations
-
A peer network of senior leaders facing the same constraints in different industries
Plus, you’ll have a follow-up session six-weeks on, to check on your progress
The Change Journey Immersive is built on GW+Co’s Collaborative Design methodology, developed across 16 years of enterprise transformation work with organisations like

Who this is for
Function leaders and transformation practitioners who:
-
Have responsibility for change, but no authority to force it
-
Need colleagues, bosses, and other functions to come on board
-
Are introducing new ideas into organisations that are change fatigued
-
Have seen top-down initiatives fail, and want a method that doesn’t
Previous Cohorts included: Business Knowledge Leader (elite law firm), Change and Communications Lead (independent), CEO (lighting design), Creative Director (fintech), Head of Legal (energy), Leadership Coach (independent), Managing Director (top tier bank), Programme Manager (software), VP Brand (global manufacturer).
What you’ll learn
➔ How to plan change as an expedition
Making change isn’t just operational – it’s also cultural, psychological, and political. The Change Journey Map helps you plan for every dimension.
➔ How to work with different people
You’ll discover what gives you energy at work and what drains it. You’ll see how others are wired differently and learn to work with them.
➔ How to communicate outside your expertise
Most of the people you need to win over don’t share your vocabulary or priorities. You’ll practise explaining yourself so they get it – and care.
➔ How to build trust under pressure
You’ll step outside your comfort zone, feel the discomfort, and build the trust you need to navigate change in any organisation.
➔ How to facilitate collaboration that produces commitment
You’ll experience how solutions emerge when people co-create them – and how to design that experience for your stakeholders.
What your organisation gets
➔ Immediate application
Every participant works on a live challenge from their organisation. You leave with practical insights, not just theory.
➔ Transferable capability
The Playbook includes workshop scripts, a making the case pack and facilitation guides your team can use independently. Previous participants have called it ‘gold dust’.
➔ Proven methodology
Organisations using the Collaborative Design methodology have achieved +300% sales growth, +75% job applications and Internal engagement from 47% to 96%.
➔ A peer network that lasts
The cohort is small (12 people), senior, and cross-industry by design. The relationships continue beyond the two days.
➔ Implementation support
We’ll meet again online six-week after, to share progress and ensure the learning is applied.
What participants say
In my career I have attended thousands of seminars on leadership and change. What I learned here is how change feels.
The most immediately transferable part is the Playbook – I would start using it straight away. The level of detail is gold dust.
The Change Journey Map is eye-opening. For me, and I would bet for many creatives, this is the first time a change journey process has actually made sense.
It is one of those very rare opportunities where you see the founder of a company sharing their way of doing things and their methodology with generosity.
What we have seen in these two days is how connecting works… that it goes beyond what we do on a performance level, and at the same time, it is the foundation for any performance.
The exchange of different perspectives from different companies, branches, and personalities has given me a much broader horizon on the work that I do.
